Company Paints Trucks Pink to Benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation
Turf Managers, a ten year old local lawn care company has painted trucks pink in an effort to promote and benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.
The company that focuses on making lawns green and was previously identified by bright red trucks, is owned by two Nashville men, Billy Leavell and Nathan Brandon who agree they are “proud to go pink”.
The idea came to Leavell when he was on a business trip and heard of another company who donated a portion of their profits to the foundation. After thinking through the idea, Billy decided this would be a great opportunity for Turf Managers to give back to their community.
As one of Nashville’s most successful landscape companies, Turf Managers will provide the Susan G. Komen Foundation with great visibility through their rolling billboards with this partnership.
“Because my grandmother, great grandmother and aunt all suffered from breast cancer, I am passionate about helping to make the future brighter for all women, especially my wife and daughters,” said Billy Leavell, co-owner of Turf Managers. “This is our busiest season of the year, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to make an impact, just by being present in our community. I know first hand how important the work of this foundation is in giving us all what we need most – the hope for a cure.”
Anyone wishing to utilize Turf Managers’ services and support the Susan G. Komen Foundation, should request “a pink truck”. A portion of all revenues from lawncare projects serviced by Turf Managers’ pink trucks will go directly to the foundation.
