As we move into 2017, we will still have strong memories of 2016. In particular, the 2016 drought. Drought damage is already showing up in our evergreen plants. They are yellow or bronzy colored and that is not good. If arborvitae, pines and junipers are showing these signs they are in trouble. They may or may not make it. You may have a row of plants and 3 out of 6 may be in trouble. It’s just the way Mother Nature works. On our deciduous trees you may see late bloom, smaller foliage, tip die back, or sprouts from the tree trunk of sucker shoots at ground level. All of these are signs of stress to the plant.
