Reasons Why Fall Is the Best Time to Aerate & Seed Your Lawn
Fescue grass is a cool season grass & will become established better as fall temperatures set in.
The new grass will get the benefits of fall rains and avoid heat stress.
Fall is usually a less “weedy” season so the new baby grass won’t experience competition for space in the lawn.
Fescue grows great in cooler temperature so the root system grows good and deep so that the roots will be in moister deeper soil.
We Triple Core Aerate
The whole point is to reduce soil compaction in order to loosen the soil so that the grass root system grows freely and deep, moisture goes deeper in the soil and so do the nutrients the grass needs.
Going over the lawn one time with the aerator just plain isn’t enough.
Pulling thousands and thousands of soil plugs from the ground which deposits them back on top of the ground creating a nice seed bed for the grass seed. In areas the larger equipment can’t reach we use small tillers to break the crust of the soil so that our seed can reach the ground and flourish.
We use the absolute best quality seed that money can buy:
TurfType Hybrid Fescue that is draught and disease tolerant. We produce the best lawns in middle Tennessee! We’re not bragging here but it’s the truth.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE lush green lawns and have a down pat process.
