Rough Spring
As predicted form the March Lawndry Lines our plants are definitely going to have a rough Spring. The below freezing temperatures in the first and second week of March has damaged some plants. Any plants that were already struggling from the drought of 2016 may not survive the freeze damage. Conifers are already showing signs of damage such as half of the plant is dead looking, totally dead looking (which in this case the plant is indeed dead) and the tips of the foliage turning brown. Fertilization, pruning, and (in the worst case) removal of the plant may be necessary and we can help with all of these services. The deciduous trees will be interesting to see how they recover. There may be some limb die back, the foliage may be smaller than usual, or the foliage on the top of the trees may be very thin. Again, fertilization and pruning will be important for their recovery.
